His experience expanded significantly while working at Salt Lake Electrical Engineering Services, where he contributed to projects such as the Holly Frontier Refinery/Power Studies and Salt Lake City Reclamation, focusing on training and ETAP.

Kolby's specialization in Controls and Automation has been a cornerstone of his contributions, with a proven track record of ensuring the seamless operation of gas compressor stations and oil gathering sites for nearly four years in field engineering. His expertise extends to Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI programming, interfacing with devices over Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, and TCP/IP, as well as commissioning motors, transmitters, and valves.
