The Mesa team is delighted to introduce Lee Underwood as a valuable addition to our team. Lee is a seasoned Lead Electrical Designer with a rich background in the Oil and Gas industry. As a fourth generation involved in oil-related work, Lee's connection to the industry runs deep. Growing up in Midland Texas with a father employed at Conoco and an uncle in the oil and gas sector, Lee's early exposure began during high school when he worked for oil field supply companies for rig -ups and supplies.
Lee's professional journey started in pneumatic conveying, hydraulics, blowout preventer control panels for offshore drilling rigs, also contributing to projects at Texas Instrument Houston, where he focused on facilities. Subsequently, Lee gained extensive experience at Raytheon National Science Foundation and Shaw, Stone & Webster power plants, accumulating over 10 years of expertise. With a remarkable 30+ years as an Electrical Designer, Lee has worked across diverse industries, including coal and gas generation power, process and petrochemical facilities, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production equipment, and various facilities.
Lee's expertise extends to electrical raceway design for power and process facilities, demonstrating proficiency in DCS and control cabinet layout and wiring design., Lee is a skilled CAD designer with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical documentation.
His excellent work ethic and extensive experience makes Lee Underwood a valuable asset to Mesa, bringing a wealth of knowledge and adaptability to every project he undertakes.
